EMPSF 2009-2010 Patient Safety Research Fellow, Lisa Calder, MD co-develops new “Situational Awareness and Patient Safety” Learning Package.
The Royal College, in collaboration with Dr. James Worthington, Senior Vice-President, Medical Affairs, Quality and Patient Safety at the Ottawa Hospital, Dr. Lisa Calder, The Ottawa Hospital, and Dr. Avi Parush, Department of Psychology, Carleton University, has developed a training module on patient safety as related to human factors with grant support from the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
This “Situational Awareness and Patient Safety” learning package is intended for use by physicians as a relevant and important addition to current patient safety curriculum.
