Call for Presenters 2015 Webinar Series


The Emergency Medicine Patient Safety Foundation (EMPSF) is seeking key patient safety content experts for our 2015 Educational Webinar Series.

The Educational Webinars focus on providing valuable information, tools and resources on solving the patient safety challenges associated with providing emergency care in the pre-hospital and Emergency Department Settings. The Webinars will focus on best practices and evidence based solutions that have been applied and demonstrated to be successful as well as identifying patient safety challenges that need to be addressed.

Attendees include emergency medicine and emergency medical services providers, nurses, hospital administrators, pharmacists, risk managers, patient safety officers, academic researchers and others.

If you are interested in presenting a Webinar, please complete the Call for Presenters Application attached. Please be sure spelling of name is correct and all relevant titles, degrees and credentials are included. Presenters are provided with a complimentary Webinar CD to share with your staff. There are no presenter honorarium fees. Presenters are encouraged to submit proposals for 2-3 Webinars.

If selected, the information you provide will be advertised and offered for download on the EMPSF website in addition to any handouts. All presenters are required to grant to EMPSF a nonexclusive, irrevocable worldwide license to reproduce, make derivative works, publish, distribute, and/or sell the recording, transcript, and/or related materials of my presentation. This license does not prohibit the speaker from using this presentation in the future for his/her own professional or personal work.

Presenters will be asked to include any tools and resources that attendees will find useful relevant to the topic. Presentation formats will be between 1 – 1.5 hours with 10-15 minutes for Q&A. Presenters agree to have their presentations taped by EMPSF and grant EMPSF permission to use the content in EMPSF communications with appropriate reference to source.

Areas of particular interest include the following topic categories from either the perspective of a discussion of patient safety risks or proposed solutions. Examples of implemented programs with measured impact on reducing patient safety risk are especially sought. Additional topic categories are welcome as long as they are specific to emergency care.
