Foundation Origins
In the last decade, emergency departments (EDs) across the nation have emerged as the first line of medical defense, acting as the safety net for America’s insureds and uninsureds alike. The Emergency Medicine Patient Safety Foundation (EMPSF) was formed to identify and respond to the challenges of providing safe, quality health care in the practice of emergency medicine.
